Mud House Pottery Studio in Seminyak is a calm, creative space that invites visitors to escape the heat and slow down through clay. Bathed in butter yellow tones, the studio itself is a little world of inspiration filled with pottery tools, equipment and ceramics that gently nudge creativity awake the moment you step inside.
It is a welcoming, family-friendly studio open to all ages and experience levels, designed for anyone who wants to create with their hands. Mud House was created with the purpose of offering a space where people can have fun, explore their creativity and find a sense of peace through working with clay.
This is more than a workshop. It is a place where core memories are made together and where you create something personal, meaningful and long-lasting to take home with you.
Beyond the workshop tables, the studio also features a small and curated selection of handmade pottery pieces available as special keepsakes or thoughtful gifts.
What We Offer
Perfect for beginners and intermediate students. Learn the art of wheel throwing under instructor guidance. Includes 2 x 500g stoneware clay, and you'll make 2 pieces on the wheel and choose 1 to be fully finished with bisque firing and glazing. Additional pieces can be finished for an extra fee. Pieces ready in 3-4 weeks. Food safe ceramic.
Get a feel for the pottery wheel and learn techniques step by step with our instructor. This is a learning process only session, so finished pieces are not included. Perfect if you're not in Bali long enough to wait for finished pieces. Includes 2 x 500g stoneware clay.
Discover the art of hand-building under instructor guidance. Shape clay with just your hands and sculpting tools. Perfect for beginners, adults, and kids. Get creative by painting pre-made ceramic pieces in a fun setting for couples, families, kids, and friends. Perfect for bigger groups, birthdays, or celebrations. Includes underglaze colours and painting tools, plus bisque firing and glaze firing. Pieces ready in 3 weeks. Food safe stoneware ceramic. Pre-made pieces (mugs, plates, bowls) selected separately. Charges apply based on your selection.
Sculpt your own creations from trinket dishes to cute figurines using soft air-dry clay that doesn't require kiln firing. Perfect if you're visiting Bali and want to take something home the next day. It takes a day to dry and you can pick up or we can arrange postage the next day. Includes 500g air-dry clay, sculpting tools, acrylic paints, and clay varnish. 1 piece to take home. For decoration purpose only (not food safe).

No wheel, no rules. Shape clay with your hands using pinching, coiling, and slab techniques. Great if you want to make something truly unique, like a sculpture, a planter, or a plate that's all your own.
Best for families & kids
Fun, fast, and you take it home the same day. No kiln wait, no fuss. Kids love it, and adults do too. A great option if you're short on time or want something the little ones can enjoy.
