Our Story
Mud House is Seminyak's first and only dedicated pottery and art studio. Tucked away on Jalan Kunti I, we're a bright, welcoming space where locals and travellers come together to get creative with clay.
Whether you've never touched a pottery wheel or you're a seasoned maker looking for studio time in Bali, we've got something for you. Our experienced instructors guide you through every step, and we provide all the tools and materials you need to create something you'll be proud of.
We offer four distinct workshop experiences -- wheel throwing, hand building, ceramic painting, and air-dry clay sculpting -- for adults and children alike. Come solo, bring a partner, gather your friends, or bring the whole family. The only rule is to have fun.
What We Offer
From spinning clay on the wheel to painting your own ceramic masterpiece, there's a workshop here for every kind of creative. No experience needed.
Learn the art of the pottery wheel. Our instructors will guide you from centring your clay to shaping your first bowl, cup, or vase. A meditative, hands-on experience you won't forget.
Shape clay using traditional hand building techniques -- pinching, coiling, and slab work. Create unique plates, planters, sculptures, and more with your hands as your only tool.
Choose a pre-made ceramic piece and bring it to life with colour. Paint your own mug, bowl, or plate using professional underglazes. We fire and glaze it for you -- collect your finished creation in 1-2 weeks.
Sculpt with air-dry clay and take your creation home the same day. Perfect for kids, families, or anyone who loves getting hands-on. No kiln required -- your piece dries naturally.
